Home R Rob Thomas This Is How A Heart Breaks Solo Guitar Tab

Artist: Rob Thomas
Song: this is how a heart breaks
Tuning: Standard
Tabber: Rivett *'-'*
I have been struggling over the solo for this song for quite a while, no one else has
one so this will have to do;
e|------------------------------------------------|
B|------------------------------------------------|
G|-4-1-4-1--4-1-4-1--4-1-4-1-4--4-2-4-2-4-2-4-2---|
D|------------------------------------------------|
A|------------------------------------------------|
E|------------------------------------------------|
I think the notes are right. It is hard to reproduce it in the same way though because
use a weird effect.
Cheers!

I like this one, is a very strong opener to his cd, like it used to happen with MB20. It's very powerful, and his voice sound as strong as they always did. Some lyrics stand out as well, like "You're not the best thing that I knew, never was never cared too much for all this hanging around..." it brings back a grasp of MB20's anguish, that we do miss so much.

I agree this is an awesome song to kick off Rob's solo effort. It has the upbeat tempo and feelgood, singalong factor to it but the lyrics are still honest. It's got the trademark heartbreak in it but it's much more hopeful and upbeat than a lot of Matchbox 20 songs. I think it's just about how you feel the world crashing in around you when someone hurts you ('everybody get down'), but in the end, you move on ('you're not the best thing that I knew')

i love the part where he says "everybody get down". sometimes when your heart is broken you feel like you could do just about everything, but then again some other times you feel like you can't do anything at all
