great song to get your heart racing.... which is kind of odd since it's about breakup, but I like it anyway.

Isn't this the theme song for this year's NBA Finals? I'm heartbroken because this year's Finals SUCKS.

my personal feelings about rob thomas going solo is that he felt good while doing that song with santana and got hungry for fame and wanted to be known as rob thomas not just the lead singer of mathbox20. anyways i liked this song before and now after the radios killed it by playing it way to much. also i heard some dude saying that matchbox20 didn't break up that they were in a short recess while rob thomas went out and made himself known. ok so my translation of the song is that he fell in love then his love decieved him or something so now he's all like "everybody get down this is all i can take this is how a heart breaqks you take a hit now you feel it break down make you stay wide awake this is how a heart breaks" then he's thinking about it and gets all pissed and says "I remember when you used to be shy Yeah, once we were so fine You and I why you gotta make it so hard on me" then goes round missing her saying "and i'm running but you're getting away" then with the last stanza he convinces himself that she was just a distraction. he colors this with the upbeat music to get teen hearts racing and every once in a while you can feel the pain in his voice (it's creepy i know) so that's what the song means to me

This is absolutely the best way to kick off the solo stint, with the most upbeat, rocking song of the CD. I loved this song since I first heard it. I had a clip recorded off a radio station prior to the CD's release, and I listened to it repeatidly. I finally bought the CD, and the "Repeat" button was killed. Awesome song.

I've heard Rob talking about it, and he said the song was about the process of falling in love: at first we think it's the best we could ever dream of, it captures us and trick us somehow but we end up realising it was not like that at all, it was just the same thing that we knew...we end up dissapointed and tired of it. I still think it's probably the song in the album that resembles the most of Matchbox Twenty songs, but I agree that it's more hopeful and upbeated...it is just not that bitter, I guess. Rob is quite a happy guy now! :) lol

This is good stuff. I've no input on its meaning, but the song is immediately in-your-face and doesn't let up.

Rob Thomas seriously messed up with this song, I think it’s crap. He’s so mush better than this.

I love this song so much, love Rob Thomas anyway, but this is especially good! Reminds me of a couple of MB20 songs. Rob Thomas' voice is just so sexy!
