The initial transcription was done by Patrick M Ryan and with out his help would not be
possible. I made some changes in the chords and those I could not name are in Tab form.
I think this is pretty darn accurate. This is hoping you already know the song. ;) If any
one has any suggestion please contact Pat or myself:

A hot and windy August afternoon
G G G C C CB C D
Has the trees in constant motion
E E A
With a flash of silver leaves

F F F F F G G G G G F
You move me --
You move me --
With your buildings and your eyes
Autumn woods and winter skies
You move me --
You move me --
Open sea and city lights
Busy streets and dizzy heights
ou call me --
ou call me --
G C
The fawn-eyed girl with sun-browned legs
G C
Dances on the edge of his dream
E A
And her voice rings in his ears
E A
Like the music of the spheres
A A G A G D
A A G A G D

The boy lies in the grass, unmoving
A D
Staring at the sky

The boy pulls down his baseball cap
G C
And covers up his eyes

When I leave I don't know
What I'm hoping to find
When I leave I don't know
What I'm leaving behind...
[impossible solo] ;-)
It's better to make up your own solo anyway. :)
Hope you enjoy!

| Good call Bunkle! Although I do believe love is an important aspect of this song, I also believe the overwhelming feelings of youth, freedom, being trapped in a world that has lost this "feeling" and the trapped nature of being a kid in a world that doesn't hear you. This is one of my favorite songs period and even at 40 I can still feel the grass beneath me and the wind on that mythical hill. | |

| I interpret it as a young person moving beyond simple living and going to the city to strike his fortune. | |

| I think it's about a kid who has just recently started liking girls, and there is one particular girl that he likes and he is dreaming about her. | |

| this is about the growing up of boys to men, it was summer, she was usualy out playing baseball, but this day was different, he dreamed of a girl for the first time and towards the end of the song his mother calls him and its back to reality for him, hes still just a boy | |

| A really awesome song. It's just some kid dreaming -- but it has to mean something deeper than that. But I have no idea wtf it's supposed to mean. none at all. that sort of freaks me out. | |
