Sorry, no solo yet, but soon.

Everything should be fairly obvious. When I have more time I'll tab
some more stuff- the complete Bastille Day with some of the solo, the
Natural Science solo, Entre Nous, complete The Trees, Closer To The
Heart, Freewill, Show Don't Tell, Working Man, 2112, maybe more too :)

This song is simply amazing. No wonder it's one of the '500 best songs' in the Rock and Roll HOF. I agree that it has an obvious meaning. The simple delight it used to bring was much more profound then it is today, simple because of the money makers and the greedy 'salesmen'. When you listen to music today, the meaning is so surface level; and I'm being general there, though. You still get great music here and there, but it's nothing like this. It's nothing like Rush and it's nothing like the radio used to be.

By the way the radio station is CFNY and they are not that mainstream ( at least 1984-1988) they were not. Great song

this is a great song to wake up to...starts your day off right. as far as the meaning, i think Philosophic_Musings hit it right on the head...music is a great thing, but can be ruined by the music industry...its up to the musicians to make music for the right reasons...obviously rush has always done that

"One likes to believe in the freedom of music, But glittering prizes and endless compromises Shatter the illusion of integrity." This statement describes many many artists in the music industry, they begin with integrity, but then lose it by "selling out".... Bands such as Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Motley Crue, and though I am glad they have lost their integrity, artists such as Brittany Spears, Ashlee Simpson. They and many more have proven the point that musicians seeking "glittering prizes" will end up with "endless comprimises" ultimately end up "shattering" their careers and loosing many of their once adoring fans.

another way to play the intro riff without tapping is:
e2p0---5p0---2p0---4p2p0------------------------------------------
b---3p0---3p0---3p0-----3p0---------------------------------------

(on the top two strings)
