| I love this song, it's catchy and no doubt about it he has a good voice, but why do people have to sing about things like god? me for example i don't belevie in god (never have never will) and it gets really annoying having to hear people singing about god and how "great" he is. Can't they keep that to themselves? I mean a lot of people reading this's answer will probably be thinking "he's expressing himself and his beleifs" well sure thats great, but can't he sing about something else he loves or shows interest in? I mean you don't hear people singing about being buddist or hindu, i get people coming to my door to convert me i don't wanna have to hear it in a song. But anyway, Ryan's kool and I love his voice and the catchiness of this song, sorry if i offended anyone!! | |

| this song is great. on a interview that i found online Ryan was talking abouyt how it is in fact about getting saved. "on the way down.. i saw you.. and you saved me from myself" hes saying how God saved him when he was at a bad point in his life. i dont usually like pop ish music either, but this is an exception. | |

| I'm not saying he shouldn't be ryan, i like him he's an excellent singer and i still listen to his music don't get me wrong! He would have another passion aswell, and anyway to me religion and music are different things and i don't really think they should be combined, coz lots of us have different veiws on how we were all created. there are many people who are christian out there (i have three frends of who beleive in god) i accept that, it's their choice and i respect that, but i just don't think they should need to make other people try to bleive in god when we have already chosen not too. but as i've said before, he has a wonderful voice and i still like this song, even if it is about god, but i just ignore that part:) | |

| I think the meaning has been covered..just wanted to add in my little opnion. Tis a catchy song i enjoy listening to; the lyrics are a little weak and repetitive, but is still an enjoyable song to lend an ear to. | |

| The song is basically about being saved....anybody can use their own interpretation if it be God, a friend, a family member, a girlfriend/boyfriend, etc. It's just about finding your way back and realizing that life is pretty cool. | |

| this song is actually about him being saved. he didn't want to put God's name in it though because he thought it would be nice to leave it open for interpretation | |

| they did date but this song was written before they started dating.. like everyone has said this is about him being saved and how he held on to god and everything seemed so much easier " i was so afraid of going under but now the weight of the world feels like nothing" ..the words in this are so amazing beautifuk | |
