	It's about Chris's dad dying. He's the bassist. If I remember it happened around christmas. So I guess the red and green has to do with that.

	The "burst of Red and Green" can mean one of two things. Since it's about a car accident, the Red and Green can be the traffic lights. On the other hand it's "last christmas" and the red and green can mean the typical colours of Christmas. Especially when they're followed by the lines "brings the things that she'll love" Just my thoughts.

	If anyone was all curious about the whole story, this from the saoboards: "Yes, the song is about my dad and I.....heres the deal....we were on tour with story of the year and my dad was out in maryland on business....just so happened we were in that area at the same time.....we had two shows in one night.....and my dad came to both of them.....the next morning on his way back to the airport to go home to our appartment in dana point.....my half brother was driving him (he lives in maryland).....and got in a car accident....my dad died at the scene and my brother was ok.....we had a show the day he died and I decided to play it somehow....and it was the most amazing emotional show I've ever played and not just for me.....the whole band was in tears by the end.....I finished the tour which was about 2 more weeks.....when i came home and was dealing the whole thing and was moving out from me and my dads appartment and in with beau.......Anthony wrote the lyrics for me......and I will forever thank him for that......that songs amazing and obviously is close to my heart and that is that" - Justin (taken from the Saosin FTP)

	Ummm ok if you listen to the Original version and the acousitc version al the lyrics are the saem.. Excpet for the chorus's in the acoustic version the lyrics that are posted here are the chorus but in the non acoustic i guess original version lol the shorus is what theseventhyear posted just wanted ot point thta out lol.. Weird dont know why its different but it is...

	if that's a song about justin or chris' dad, how come the name's mookie? the dog? maybe,, he died too? or he dooesnt feel like christmas cause the master isnt around? Saosin always leaves me confused. that's what i fucking love/hate about them.

	i love this song. personally, i think its about a relationship that well..has ended. it says "...came reasons im told to carry on" so yeah, and then "Honestly, could I be protected With you suddenly gone The feeling that you are honestly gone I can't shake it... " i think it was a friend, and more like a confidant and like a guardian angel to him... and that before the mess started, the freind was honest...he/she meant every word he said.. and now that its.."off" he kinda doesnt believe him. idk. thats only my insight.
