| Or, if it's not about a goldfish, then I'd agree with circaofsurvival. Yeah, that's very good interpretation (sp). | |

| jbandy10 thankyou for saying even depressed people can have fun sometimes!! Mwah!! so.. i was reading these lyrics.. and i was like haha ok the goldfish thing is a neat metaphor or whateva they call it.. but seriously is this song about a goldfish?? called penolope?? this is one of the most diverse bands i think ive ever heard.. they sing heartfelt songs about goldfish.. and amazing songs about everything else while taking the time to write a few songs about taking the piss outta rap.. which i am all in favor for!! lol love saosin | |

| I agree with circaofsurvival. It is not about a goldfish even though it is very easily linked to a goldfishes life in some ways. The part about "..raindrops falling down, seeping through your red scales." gives it away that it is about a drug abuser. Most likely a heroine addict. After a user takes it, the foil used in the process of making it, is forced out of your body through your skin creating "Red Scales", on your arms. So yeah. That's my thought. | |

| it means "for my heart" in spanish. as far as the lyrical content of this song goes, the song is originally by Pinback, a very good band who write some very interesting songs. why Saosin chose to cover it, I dont know. perhaps they are fans of Pinback and chose to cover it out of respect for them, as a tribute of sorts... As much as i like the original, i also really like what saosin did with the song. they completely changed the tempo and gave it a different spin. kudos to both saosin and pinback for this great song :) | |

| That's what I thought, too, when I listened more & started looking at the lyrics. For a song supposedly about a pet [gold]fish, it's so heartfelt. I like Saosin's cover of the song :) | |

| Before I ever heard the song my friends told me that it is about a goldfish that died, so I never doubted it, but now that circaofsurvival (an obvious fan, judging by the name) mentioned that it is about a drug addiction I would have to agree. Well done. | |

| Oh yeah cosmic kisses, (I'm a filipino too :P) and what I think about the song is that, yeah, it's all about a fish. But what the hell?! Songwritters most of the time when they write songs and refer about literal stuff, they would likely to put more deep meanings to it. Like they make connections on everything. Just like poetry. | |
