Yeah it's presumably inspired by Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles in general. Very moody, I love it :)

I so much enjoy that period of time when Darren was such a Vampire books' reader...it is reflected here, another song about deep longing for someone in a dream-like state of mind...

Oh I love this song! I've heard that it is about Lestat from the vampire chronicals (Also where they got their name from). Didn't think it really was at first, but now that I read the lyrics I can see it.
