Album: Affirmation
Tabbed by: Albert and Richard Shearer
E-mail: kikkialby@libero.it
INTRO: C - G - Am - G - C - G - Am - F
C G Am F C G
Hey hey, if we can't find a way out of these problems
Am F
Then maybe we don't need this
C G Am F C G
Standing face to face, enemies at war we build defences
Am F
And secret hiding places
CHORUS
C G Am F
I might need you to hold me tonight
C G Am F
I might need you to say it's alright
C G Am F
I might need you to make the first stand
Fmaj7 G
'Cause tonight I'm finding it hard to be your man
C G Am F
Hold me tonight,
C G Am F
Say it's alright
C G Am F C G
Hey hey, more than angry words I hate this silence
Am F
It's getting so loud
C G Am F
Well I want to scream, but bitterness had
C G
Silenced these emotions
Am F
It's getting hard to breathe
C G
So tell me isn't happiness?
Am F
Worth more than a golden diamond ring?
C G Am F
I'm willing to do anything to calm the storm in my heart
C G
I've never been a praying kind,
Am F
But lately I've been down upon my knees
C G F G
Not looking for a miracle, just a reason to believe
CHORUS
C G
Do you remember not long ago?
Am
How we used to live for the lifetime
F
Cherish each moment
C G Am F
Now we don't live we exist, we just run through our lives
C G Am F
That's why you've got to hold me
- G - Am - F
CHORUS
Outtro (same as Intro)

| i really like this song. "So tell me isn't happiness Worth more than a gold diamond ring?" i like that line because it means that being happy is more important than staying in a bad relationship. | |

| This song is amazing, definitely my favorite savage garden song. I think it describes a point in a relationship where all the love isn't worth all of the arguements. It's not working, no matter how much they want it to. | |
