| First of all, I think u2can...is using a form of the English language known as sarcasm. I could be wrong, but most people aren't that ignorant. Secondly, I'm a big Clash fan, and I think Saves the Day did a really good job pulling off this song. It sounds good. Also, Saves the Day got one of TRL's "Hott new Bands", according to my 11 year old sister. I truly am surprised they haven't gotten big...yet... | |

| Kelce, I love Saves the Day, but just because they decided to cover a song doesn't mean anything at all other than that they like the song... ------------------------------------------- http://www.freewebs.com/thejakesite | |

| u2can.... it hurts... really.... that's the problem with you kids today. no respect for music. you just cling to the newest "it" band. Nothing against saves the day (although they are going downward) but at least show a little respect for the Clash. If you don't know who they are, your opinion is worthless on this song. This is a great homage. | |

| this is a kick ass cover! when the original came on inthe cd store i was looking at the cd "another year on the streets" (w/saves the day) and when this song came on by the clash i couldnt help myself! me and one of the employess were rockin out! ha! but neways............. fuck mtv. they just want to make profits off of the old bands and they make it sound like they are new to of course make a profit. that pisses me off. mtv isnt in it for the music anymore. (music television..such false advertisement) like thier "spankin new bands week" included gc and other bands that werent new. that pissed me off. MTV GET OFF THE AIR! for gods sake please! ur ruining the music industry! they play gc and nfg and then theres a bunch of conformists i see around singing their songs thinkin they kno whats goin on. i wanna shake em and be like MTV IS HYPNOTYZING U! GO OUT AND LIVE THE MUSIC! one day im going up there and blasting dead kennedys "mtv get off the air" anyone wanna join? | |

| Um... i don't know who the Bangs or the Bams or the clash or something is, but this totally is an original song, and it is pure genious. chris connely is pure genious. i am so glad he can write a song like this but saddened at the fact no one thinks it's his. get the facts. love. your music critic. jon | |

| Clash city rockers was a take on the band the Bay City Rollers, and i think the clash wrote it to defy 'rock' bands like them, and to defy the people out their who think that they themselves are rockers because they listen to fake bands. The song is about the clash wanting to show the fakers what real rock is | |

| i agree mrtownzjoo... the clash is a great band and this song is better if you listen to the origonal version first. some cover songs aren't all that good but i think saves the day did a pretty god job with this one. it sounds different than the clash but that probally has something to do with the differentness of the two bands. thats alright. its a great song either way. | |

| Um, im sorry, i didnt realize any of the (quote on quote) "popular" people, even cared about Saves The Day...just because their on mtv doesnt mean everyones going to start liking them. I have asked like 100 people from 2 different states and no one knows who they are. And if they do know who they are they just think their the freaks who sing at your funeral (not one of their best songs) and freakish...i guess you have to listen to their old stuff to appreciate the new stuff anyway cause wherever they seem to go musicalty sounds good to me...."Through Being Cool" is, however, thier best cd in my opinion. | |

| I feel the clash convey a punkier kinda feel. Saves the day always comes across as punk rock and nothing else, i just dont think a band like STD can ever cover such a song. Good try though.... | |

| i would have to agree with StarLoveHeartXoxO, except for the part when he/she says that through being cool is their best cd. that title would have to go to can't slow down. mainly because of "jodie" and "houses and billboards" and the rest of the album. man...that cd rules. i'm gonna go and listen to it right now. p.s. i like this song | |

| This is a Clash cover song..i think it's about how the clash is comming to town and some jerks don't like the music and don't want them to play punk rock in their town, so he's telling them to 'shut your mouth and pretend you enjoy it'. good song. | |
