I MELT WITH YOU - Saves The Day
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By: Jonathan aka Wangit

Same tab as the other guy except I tabbed out the extras he left out.

Capo on 4th Fret “to get that high pitched sound”
Intro/Chorus:

C F

G|----0-------2----| play this throughout most of the song
D|----2-------3----|
A|----3-------3----|
E|------------1----|

Verses:
e|----------------------------------------|
B|----------------------------------------|
G|----------------------------------------|
D|---2-------2----------3-------3-0-------|
A|-----3---3---3----------3---3-----------|
E|-------3------------------1-------------|

Interlude:
e|-----0~-----|
B|-----0~-----|
G|-----0~-----| x2
D|-----2~-----|
A|-----2~-----|
E|-----0~-----|
("the futures open wide.")
e|-----------------------------------------------|
B|-----------------------------------------------|
G|-----------------------------------------------| x2
D|-----------------------------------------------|
A|------2----------2--5-----0--3--7--3--5--0-----|
E|---0-----3----3--------------------------------|

Solo:
C F
e|------------1----|
B|----1-------1----|
G|----0-------2----| Play after “solo” has been played twice
D|----2-------3----|
A|----3-------3----|
E|------------1----|

e|----------------------------------------|
B|----------------------------------------|
G|-------9-----------------10--9----------| Play alone twice then keep playing

A|----10-----------------8----------------|
E|----------------------------------------|

That’s it, Im missing some small parts because I can’t hear what it is
in the song, but this is pretty much what the whole song is. Have fun.

This dong to me means riding along with your friends listening and singing three part hamronies and driving with the windows down singing at the top of your lungs. Good times to a good song by a great band.

This is a great cover. Even though it was "our song" and she dumped me for another guy, I can still listen to it because great music transcends broken hearts.

The original song/video was totally trippy. But they remake this song very nicely.

I love saves the day. I really think they're amazing. Every time I hear chris sing my heart pounds hard and I just get dizzy. I'm so jealous of you SurferGirlKat! I can't believe you met them! What were they like? It would be so cool if you could e-mail me (sailnstarz@aol.com) i would love to hear about them. I only saw them in concert 2 times. The first time I fell in love with them, 2nd time at pop disaster tour, camden new jersey, amazing!!

what i like about this song over the original is that somehow it seems more lighthearted and so sweet and simple... it's prettier.. a real feel-good song

this is an awesome cover. it's an awesome song. modern english should get more credit though. they were an awesome 80's band and i still love them. not as much as i love saves the day though.

there's an error I think..... "trapped in a moment of imaginary grace" instead of "dropped in a state of imaginary grace."

I love this song. I can't help it. Modern English was great, but the cover is even better. I love the first couple lines "Moving forward using all our breath/ Making love to you was never second best/ I saw the world crashing all around your face/ Never really knowing it was always. . mesh and lace. . ." It's a classic.
