I feel this song is also about Chris Conley's service to his loyal public. I think that the whole "5 buckets of water" reference is just another way of saying he is working as hard as he can for his fans. I hope this isnt expressing any condesention to his fame......boy would it suck to not see these guys around anymore.

yeah, I'd have to say emoboy nailed it too... like how she wants a broken heart but he just likes her too much to do that. Or something. I dunno.

hmm..brodie has a point, i've never thought about the song this way before. i was more along the lines of what emoboy said. but, either way this is still an awesome song

i think that its about someone who's entirely devoted to someone else who doesn't care for them as much...or maybe even not at all.

Ok this is just getting stupid. This song is not about a girl. It is about the fans and how we take Saves The Day for granted.

It's about expectations, It's about a girl that has complete control and you will tend to her every need, and all she wants "is a broken heart" ,and whenever she wants it she gets it and you do it, play her favorite songs, with a broken heart

brodie ts nailed it. chris is obviously talking about his feelings towards the fans and how i don't think we, as avid listeners of saves the day, take for granted how much pain he goes trhough and how much hurt he puts into the lyrics, just so that we can have somehting to fall back on when everything falls down aroudn us. and the coolest part of this song is that i am not sure that he is bitter about it.

I loooove this song even though it's sad. I never thought of Chris being a puppet catering to our needs since we cannot do it in as gifted of a fashion. BUT-the version of him doing everything to please the girl and her not caring seems to make more sense. He compares himself to a jukebox because she has complete control of him. He is like a machine or toy to her incapable of feeling. She is just using him. The part about him singing her songs to fit whatever mood is symbolic of how he reflects back whatever mood she is forcing upon him. If she is depressed or happy, she takes this out on him, and he mirrors back her emotions. He knows it's not healthy and it's killing him with the casket bit but he can't help it. At the end when he sings, "The Jukebox is in the corner. My mouth is the speaker. It plays your favorite songs and you know where the coin slot is," is Chris giving in and saying, that even though he is being treated poorly and being taken advantaged of, he knows she will come back to him not because she wants to be with him, but because she knows he'd do anything for her. This breaks his heart, but he doesn't have the courage to say no.
