| i love this song. the whole imagery of him cutting out his own eyes because he thinks it will make someone want him more is... i dunno but its really incredible. sometimes he writes lyrics about accepting yourself for what you are and then other times, he writes that he do anything to be accepted. and i think thats whats kinda cool abouts saves the day. all their songs are full of all these crazy contradictions, that in the end, make perfect sense. one of my favorite lines in this song is "So come at me with your moon and burn me in the stars". just an amazing song all around. | |

| i don't think i have listened to a song more times than this one. it is my ultimate favorite song because my past relationship with one particular guy relates to the lyrics so well. i am the blue eyes, inoccent and pure. Marajuana is the brown eyes. now he is with the brown eyed-one and i will never get him back, because the brown eyes are more exiting, and i am boring. this happened over a eye ago and i still think about him just about every day. i wish i could get him back and keep him from doing drugs, but all tries have left me hurt and hopeless. i loved you | |

| The title is kinda strange, but I think it's just saying that he wants to change the way he was or looked and become something better. The song, to me, is about a guy that went out with this girl for a year and then she found someone else. He doesn't know what the other guy has that he doesn't have. He loved her more than anything, there isn't any way he could replace her. So he just doesn't understand why she never loved him like he loved her and how she could so easily replace him. I think towards the end he's saying that he wants her to share his misery that she has put him through. | |
