| i dont pretend to know what this song means, but to me the most important line in the song is "and if the hook sets in the bottom of our lungs we'll rip it out and lick the blood off with our tongues" i agree with leechers opinion on this line to an extent, but the use of 'we'll' instead of 'i'll' coupled with the fact that i thought it was a love song means i interpreted it as meaning that if something bad happens and threatens the relationship, you could not only get over it, but u could 'spit in its face'...if that makes sense :) perhaps i'm reading into it too much, but an amazing song | |

| "Just sail belly up to the clouds, the rocks scraping your back. To breathe in the air will be the only thing that you have.." When he breaks into the chorus it's amazing. I don't know exactly what he's going for but I can only picture two people floating on the shoreline of a beach or bay, and life is as simple as that, floating in the water and breathing. | |

| egads. what can i say... they are just amazing... i saw in a post for another song, that std songs are so amazing because they're so graphic yet at the same time so innocent. i mean, if you just read the lyrics, the first time through it's a little intimidating, but you look deeper and hear his voice and the music and it all of the sudden all fits, and it's just utterly beautiful. this song really does make me smile, even when i'm in the worst of moods. "just know you did it all the best that you knew how." amazing. | |
