| i think that hes saying in this song..he just wants some feedback or something? like some kind of response, not necisarily something that leads to more but just some kind of sign that its ok he has those feelings for her...maybe im letting my own life do the takling here but i love this song and its so perfect for my life right now...so thats how i relate to it.*sigh* saves the day....i think id have to agree with 'lying awake' they f-ing rock my socks....later | |

| Great song. I think it's about a relationship that ended that he can't get over. So he desparately wants to see her or speak to her and put things back together again. I don't know why, but I get a past-relationship vibe from this song, rather than just a girl he likes and wants to get to know... like how it says "Oh great / Here I go again stuck in this rut". Best line of the song is defintiely "Why does my heart always beat before yours does?". I bet everyone can relate to that line at some point or another. | |

| this is definitely the best STD song. i relate to everything, i've felt this way so much, i even sang it for this thing called song sharing at my school that we do at the beginning of the year. I picked this song cuz it was the best song and i connected so well, the song sharing thing is supposed to open everybody up and make us more comfortable, this year it was amazing.. sharing this incredible Savestheday song made me so vulnerable yet so free because i want everybody to understand that i've felt that way and its a part of me..these incredible emotions | |

| what I get out of this song is that, (chris) He breaks it off with a girl, and maybe hurt her really badly. and then maybe a year or so later, comes to understand that this is the only girl that he will ever love. | I am so glad this song is acoustic b/c it is perfect! Chris sums it up perfectly... it's the best sad/breakup song to sing along to. Definitely about two people breaking up and how he can't get over her and perhaps entertain false hopes that she will change her mind and get back w/ him even though he knows in his heart, they are really over. He is tired of always being the first one to give in and call and try and talk things out (Why does my heart always beat before yours does?) b/c he knows if she cared half as much as he, she'd make the initiative this time. And when she doesn't call him, he is sad and in denial. (So I'm making myself believe in you). This song always makes me think of how I know I really like a guy, b/c I'd save his voicemails so I can replay it and listen to his voice.. sorry if it seems creepy but hey, I know I'm not the only one!!! Anyway, great song! | |
