Biography
Sawyer Brown is a
country music band formed in
1981. It is led by vocalist Mark Miller plus drummer Joe Smyth, keyboardist Gregg (Hobie) Hubbard, and bassist Jim Scholten. The only change to its members has been the addition of guitarist Duncan Cameron who joined after Bobby Randall left in 1991. The band took its name from a street in the city of
Nashville, Tennessee. Sawyer Brown achieved national recognition when they won the 1984
Star Search
television show singing contest. After winning, the band was signed by
