| Matt Skiba is excellent. Though, I would like anyone's input on what this song's part in the entire record as a whole is. You know, the whole satire on the industry thing, and the whole "rock opera" thing. How does it fit in with that? I read somewhere that the song was about his grandparents finding love and what not, dont know if thats true. But some real input would be helpful, none of the "OMG I LOVE THIS SONG ITS THE BEST SONG EVER BESIDES A WALK THROUGH HELL OMG OMGOMG I LOVE SAY ANYTHING". Thanks. | |

| well the ghetto is referring to the warsaw ghetto and the town in warsaw after nazi occupation and treblinka was an extermination (not concentration) camp that the people from the ghetto were sent to. mix in a love story and youve got a pretty good song | |

| I change my opinion. After extensive listening to the entire cd...I believe that every song has in itself a tie to a specific emotion or feeling. This song is about losing one's self in love despite all outside threats and those that will never understand the way it feels. This is going to sound pretty pathetic, but this CD along with what Max posted on the news section of the say anything web page has renewed my faith that love could exist. He seems to be a sincere and compassionate person and I can only hope that he recovers and writes the next cd to the full potential. I wouldn't expect anything less. | |

| These lyrics are incorrect and missing lines. Here's the correct version: Ahhhh Ahhhh Ahhhh ahhhh... When i watch you, wanna do you, right where you're standing, ya... Right on the foyer, on this dark day, right in plain view...OH ya... Of the whole ghetto, the boot-stomped meadows, but we ignore that..ya.. You're lovely baby, this war is crazy, i won't let you down, OH NO..noo No, I wont let them take you, wont let them take you, Hell no no, oh no, i wont let them take you, wont let them take you, Hell no no no oh no no no And when our city, vast and shitty, falls to the axis, ya... They'll search our buildings, collect gold fillings, wallets, and rings..Oh ya.. But Miss Black Eyeliner, You'd look finer, with each day in hiding, oh ya.. Beneath the wormwood, oooh love me so good, they won't hear us screw away the day I'll make you say noo I won't let them take you, won't let them take you (Alive, Alive, Alive with glory alive with glory) Hell no no, whoa no, i wont let them take you, wont let them take you, hell no no Now Treblinkah is alive with the glory of love Treblinkah alive with glory of love yea (Okay, speed it up now) Should they catch us, and dispatch us to those separate work camps I'll dream about you, I will not doubt you with the passing of time, oh ya.. Should they kill me, your love will fill me as warm as the bullets, ya.. I'll know my purpose, this war was worth it, i won't let you down no i wont no i wont no i wont (alive) (alive with love, alive with love) Hell no no, whoa no, i wont let them take you, wont let them take you Hell no no....no, no, | |

| After reading the lyrics to this song, I got really curious as to what inspired the guys to write this song (because, yes, it's very obvious it's about the Holocaust). So, I went to their website, where they actually have a couple of their screen names up... and I IMed one of them and asked where the inspiration for the song came from. They told me they got the inspiration from the movie "The Pianist." So there you go. | |

| "wow...holocaust and love...AMAZING...imagine how hard a song like that is to write..this isn't a song that is just about any relationship between a boy and a girl. this is max being the best song writer in the entire world " this isn't really even the best song about love and the holocaust, so it must not be that difficult. "holland, 1945" by neutral milk hotel is jeff magnum's love song to anne frank. but anyway, i do like the song, very catchy. such a solid beginning, but i feel it falls apart a bit at the end. | |

| oh wow, I think Snevik is right...Neutral Milk Hotel is amazing, but I think that holland, 1945 falls short of both of the Two Headed Boys, and Oh, Comely. Before I started listening to the song in depth, I thought that in max's sarcastic, brilliant mind, he was just making fun of NMH...after all he did write songs like "the presidential suite" and "admit it!," however, I think that it's a genuine and amazing song. | |

| i have a really long, beautiful infatuation about this song. so i've been grounded. for about two months. and this boy i've been snekaing out wiht sends me snippet sof this song in texts rather often. i am his bonnie and he is my clyde. i am the belle to his serbastian. and i told him im on the holocaust diet (lots of soup) and so we always play up the nazi camp story, how was the soup today, the factory was rather cold, etc. and i love this song for it. and it describes my situation perfectly. | |

| i don't even pay attention to the holocaustic part of the song. i just love the instrumental parts...and that it involves love. i don't think anyone can righteously be emo without having been in love first. and no emo kid can be complete without his/her heart ripped out by words. sad stuff...life can really suck sometimes. | |
