Whoever said this song should replace chia-like is clearly missing the whole point of the album. The point was not to pick the best songs but to create a story, you cant just stick "the best songs" in there because people like them, its all part of the story. Buy the album and read the introduction.

I loved this song since the moment i heard it and it started my obsession for this band... they can do no wrong with me. The song is all about seeing something more in a person than they see in themselves and wanting to be there savour, helping them from the situation they have created for themself. The situation is very much so caused by the ppl they are surrounding themselves with who aren't half the person that he thinks she is and he would do anything to tell show her that. I went through this with someone but its hard to accept that ppl can only save themselves.

To me, this song represents the ubiquity of longing for a continual post-mortuary deride into the abyss known as "Gehenna" which might also represent such subtle sensibilities as "Hell", "Frankenstein" and the more popular, "Inspector Gadget." To me, Say Anything represents the tried and true anecdotes about police brutality and welfare reform. In addition, many legumes of the Brazilian variety seek justice within the social system, but Say Anything defies these legumes. "C'mon lets have dessert", is a common social diatribe among nation's most popular leaders. A poignant example of this culmination of creation derives it's quintessential meaning in it's own epitaph. "How Stella Got Her Groove Back" realizes this notion in a multitude of singularities, but more importantly, pluralities. Moribundity is a sign of the times, and in this song, Say Anything is really "saying anything."

I think this is about how perhaps a girl he knew for his childhood has turned into somebody totally different and was forced to become somebody that she isn't and too sexual so he is coming to save her from the fakeness and show her the real her

this song is so amazing, this was the second one i heard and it became my favourite immediatly, at first, ive had a few difernt takes on this song.. which ones sounds closest? 1. a prostitue he is tryin to save " id hold you and remind you who you are" 2. a girl who has always been told shes loved so they can use her and she gets torn apart on the inside from it " led you to drink from their fountain sprouting lies" or 3. a girl who has been kidnapped/raped and he is tryin to get to her and find her " id slay that horrible beast they commisted to steer me away" or "and they hunt you, and the gut you, and you give in"

This was a while ago, but matt on said that Max wrote this song for his mom... "With your new head, and your legs spread like a filthy magazine." I'm not saying that matt's wrong by any means, but doesn't that strike anyone else as...well...really fucking weird? Wafflepants is absolutely correct, Max Bemis is god. Except for when he did Most Beautiful Plague...it's the only SA song I've ever heard that I don't like.

this song is EXTREMELY romantic, but it's not soppy, which is hard to achieve. I just love it. I cant even put it into words how much.

My sister's friend is good friends with the lead singer of Say Anything, and told my sister that Walk Through Hell is actually about his mother. I don't know how true it is, but to me it makes sense, "and i'd hold you in my weak arms like a first born", sounds like a reversal in roles. He would do anything for her including what she has already done for him...so take it or leave it, up to you

i love this song. it's probably my favorite say anything song. I can listen to it on repeat for hours and never get tired of it. When he says "and id slay the horrible beast they commissioned, to steer me away from my mission to your eyes, and i'd stand there like a soldier with my foot upon his chest, with my grin spread and my arms out in my bloodstained sundays best, and you'd hold me, i'd remind you, who you are, under their shelves..." you can hear him smiling, and i can't help but smile along.
