| Amyliscious, that woman "dead as fuck" is Laura Palmer from the ever so fabulous TV show TWIN PEAKS, at least that's what the band said at the Brighton Dome Concert: "This next song is a story. Composed about a lady. Who existed over the rainbow. Beyond the Valley of the Dolls. Two doors down from 10 Downing Street. And she was very beautiful. Very beautiful! Prom queen, as a matter of fact. Of Twin Peaks High School. But one fine day, she washed up on the shores of the Pacific-North-West, dead-as-fuck ...wrapped in plastic.... Her name...was Laura." But I seriously have no clue about the connection of the character Laura Palmer to the lyrics of "Laura". Maybe the Scissor Sisters wanted to create a mystery, just like the show was. I don't know... | |

| I can't stand this song. First time i heard it i liked it but then it was just playing everywhere and that dudes voice is soooooo annoying. Their other songs suck aswell. | |
