| this song is about a man who is trying to tell this girl that he really wants to be with her but he has to admit that he is struggling with drugs and is trying to kick his habits but it is very hard for him. "when it snows" is a reference to cocaine and "kiss from a rose" i hear has to do with shooting heroin. he says love was the drug without the pill, meaning she makes him feel amazing but his real addictions make him forget about her and all he can think about is how good it feels when he does coke. | |

| It's definitely about love...a very deep consuming love. That's where the drug references come in. He's comparing these deep and almost frightening feelings of love with the self-consuming sensations of addiction. This can also be seen with all the light and grey references. His life is grey but his love is like a light, pentrating through that grey and reaching the depths of this soul. Otherwise, this song is just uberkickass! ;) | |

| I love this song. It is my personal fav. I had never heard the interpretation of having to do with drugs though! I had always thought it was a song about love and pain. | |

| I think it's about smoking marijuana. " drug that's the high and not the pill" is a little too direct a reference. "the more i get of you stranger it feels", the more you smoke the more stoned you get. Grey describes the gloom of his daily routine and smoking some pot relieves some of that. "My eyes become large and the light that you shine can be seen"= dilated pupils and moments of intoxicated insights. | |

| this song is about a guy who is a loner and never had any real emotions, who falls in love with a beautiful girl who he believes will light his dark and lonely life up "light on the dark side of me". he then does everything in his power to get her to fall in love with him but as she realizes he loves her, he pays the ultimate sacrifice, thus love is like a rose, beautiful but can bear its thorns and become painful. | |

| Sad thing is that she will probally go out with some smuck that doesnt respect her and just uses her and have NO true feelings! That what really hits me! Why this girl doesnt realize that I love her. I told her straight up! A mystery unsolved, well atleast its better than not telling her i love her. Because i would of always wondered IF she did liked me... Well I know the truth :( | |

| The term "Kiss from a rose" is a reference to the high you get from heroin. Hence "drug that's the high and not the pill" | |

| to me this is my favorite song, i think it talks bout a very painful and deep love, i mean like if you love a person SOOO much that it hurts, for me the girl (the rose) is very beautiful and plays with the boy, who is deeply in love with her but she's just fooling around | |

| i think this song means this person is very much in love with someone and they are the most beutiful thing in their life, maybe the only beutiful thing in their life cause the song says "rose on the grey". They brighten up their dull and ugly life. | |
