| I thnk the I think everyne is right in there meaning, When I heard it it it home, Being afraid of something thats good for you, Not having any reasons, Just saying fine I'l let it go, At least thats what i thought, Sometimes things just wont go away, N matter the relief we get from the person we love, because we might fear them, Being ashamed of fearing the o you love and not letting go of certain things was my uptake people ^_^ | |

| Koralie, now I know I'm not crazy. It completes me as well. At first, I thought maybe he was talking to God, (The Gift is his life or his talent, and he is unsure how or embarrased to use it.) However, the Amy Lee thing fits perfectly, since I can relate, because I just broke off my 7-year friendship with a girl I loved for the same time. She never felt the same way, but we still remained friends until a couple of weeks ago. The last few years she tried to get me to stop saying things like that "I can't bear to look at myself in the mirror" or always feeling shame for something I said or did or not wanting to wake up in the morning. Now I need her friendship more than ever, and she's gone, and I feel ashamed of the way I told her how I felt because it just pushed her away completely. Anyway, very powerful song that just sucks you in to the moment. | |

| I'm not sure that anyone relates this way, but sometimes a song amazes me to the point where for a moment, I feel utterly complete... Sounds silly I bet, but I hear this song and I just feel like it "fits" somehow. Fits my personality, fits my mood, and most of all, fits my emotions and how I feel, hence the feeling of completeness. Seether just has that impact on me, and this song just vocalizes how I've often felt but could never seem to express... This band is full of emotion and I personally just can't get enough... | |

| omg when i first heard this song i loved it, when ever i just sit down and really listen to it, it makes me sad. i always figured the song was about how he felt that life was getting too hard and that he was a failure and that 'the gift' was his life and he was ashamed of how it had become. | |

| I think he's afraid of being loved, becuase he doesn't think he deserves her. Thinks she so much better than him, and he's ashamed that he'll never feel good enough for her. | |
