	I agree with the addiction point of view, he knows he needs this girl and is asking her to never leave him. She does and now all he can do is ask her to come back so he won't have to lose the addiction.

	For me, this used to be about my mom. She basically up and changed her whole personality, but I was willing to do anything to have her in my life, even if that meant taking her to lunch or giving her money. I've cut ties with her though, and haven't been taken in any more since September of last year. I'm really proud of myself for that. So, the song could be about that. You love someone so much, that you refuse to see their flaws, and how their screwing you up. All you know is that you want them in your life no matter what. "Never leave me, & don't deceive me. I'll keep on crawlin' my friend." And that's what you do when you love someone that much. This is also true of addiction to a drug or chemical as well. It can destroy you completely, but if you believe in your mind, that it's the only thing you have left, then you'll do anything to hold onto it, even if it continues to reak havoc in your life/relationships.
