The Mexican Who Average |

| Yes, you're all right. This song is very depressing (just as virtually any other Seether song). However, I would like to show you something different. Don't you think that the chorus is actually quite optimistic? At least I've always seen it as full of hope and determination: "And if I can rise above this I'll be saved Can anybody save me?" It I can get over all the bad things and not let them affect me any more, then I will be able to get on with this life. And can anyone else do it for me? No, I have to do it myself. I haven't figured out the second part of the chorus to fit this interpretation but still this is the way I've always looked at the song. And the quoted lines are so optimistic that they make up for all the negativity Seether can force into their lyrics. | |

| I also feel this song is about depression. But I also think it is about individuality. This person in the song appears to have his values and will not sell out so to say. His values may go against the grain resulting in him feeling dusgust, perhaps he has had a few friends turn on him along the way. By the end of it it would appear that this person can not just go on. | |

| He's looking at the current state of the world, and it disgusts him so much, he wants to commit suicide. It really is a depressing song, but it's definetly one of their best, off of either off their albums. | |

| This song is pretty depressing. He is obviously depressed about something in this song as if he wants to kill himself. "Goodbye cruel world". | |

| I think by the way he says "The tongue inside my mouth is not for sale" indicates bondage, freedom of speech, or plagiarism (sp). It's obviously about depression and neglect... and how he will end it. | |

| I agree with "grungeisdead34" Shaun said himself that at the time he wrote this, they were going through harsh times, being called someone else’s band and not getting credited for there work. (Basically “broken” being called Amy’s song and people saying the band was"using" Amy and Evanescence to get publicity... that sort of stuff. And people accusing them of selling out) Very depressing, but I love it, one of my favourite songs. | |

| Wow this song is absolutly amazing. I'm might sound a little to into it but you have to admit it makes you think. I love this song it makes me realize whats going around the world how it affects people in different ways. Like as in this he wants to kill himself and others blow it off like nothing and the other people in the world are causing it. I don't know if many people see this song as I do but I can't look it in any other way. | |
