I know the song was written for Lynn Strait, but i want to share my personal connection. This song gives me goose bumps every time i hear it.. I feel like I was intended to hear this song... I am an angel's son... My mom died when i was 8 years old of cancer. She was in a lot of pain for 4 years, and fought every day to go on... I never got to say goodbye... and i wish i could have because i would have told her that even though i didnt always show it, i loved her... so i feel like this song is all about me... I am an angel's son...

does anybody know what lajon is referring to when he says "you were fighting' and "to hide the pain?" is this part speaking to lynn's mother?

Ah, they also dedicated this song to one of the band member's brothers who recently died...The lead singer's brother, I believe. It was originally for Lynn Strait, but they played it again as a tribute to the brother at one of their concerts just after finding out he died. I love this song so much, it's awesome.

This song is about James Lynn Strait of the band Snot. It was written for a compilation cd with a bunch of artists shortly after Lynns death. The song is about Him and how he left us when he died. He died in a car accident...Other cd this song is on is Strait Up... It's a great heavy metal cd so all u heavy metal fans should pick it up..

Maybe he had a problem that wasn't too widely known. Didn't they have most of the music written but he was on his way to record/write lyrics when he died? I heard most of the songs had the original music on the straight up cd.
