| I think that the the image of a crucifixion is just supposed to symbolize someone's suffering caused by someone else who's used them, not necessarily having any religious meaning to this instance. A crucifixion wasn't anything special for Jesus, it was just a regular form of punishment at that time for the worst criminals as it was the most painful and torturing punishment they could think of. That's why I don't think it has to be religious, but that's just me... | |

| I'll tell you one thing right now and thats,that this song has nothing to do with religion...this song means: that he's been hurt by the one he loves..."The first time I knew you lied, I ended up Crucified" means: that he was hurt when he found out she lied to him for the first time..."No hope-I've been crucified, and no one seems to care" means: that he's hurt because, he has no more hope for his loved one, and that no one seems to care how he feels, and that he's hurt. | |
