| alright. i just thought that you were refering to me. i agree with you. i knew that sid couldn't play bass at all, but i didn't know that he was a gimmick. it does seem like correct information. i think what you were saying about people being all clued up in old punk bands, and then dropping someone's name, makes them think they know it all. just on a personal note, i've been a punker for 3 years now. so i know what i know. my friend brought me into this scene, and i could never leave it. punk rocks! i'm tired of seeing all these people call themselves "punks" and think that its just about the dress. punk isn't about the dress, its all about the music. and that's how it should stay. punks not dead! *HATE THE CORPORATES* - Spitvalves | |

| i want refering to u in paticular, im just annoyed at people thinking that they need to be all clued up in old punk bands, then name drop sid vicous and jonny rotton and think they no all. I wasnt a fan of vicous at all, i still stand by my statedment that vicous was a gimmick, he was put in the band to look "punk", to wear the clothes, and to act the part. He cannot play bass at all, as i understand he couldnt play bass when he was put in the band and on most of the songs its glen matlock playing bass. ok but dont hold me to any of this informationcoz its all second hand from mother and father who passed it onto me | |

| The sex pistols are golden gods of music. Even though in theory they suck, they play with such energy and conviction as to make it awesome. Plus they manage to convey a message without beating you over the fuggin' head with it. | |

| point well stated my friend. you are correct. you cannot just "change" into a punk, you have to already be one. I heard from a source that sid couldn't play bass for crap. Then again, it only is a source. sid was an awesome person, and I think that some punks looked up to him. We still idolize people from times long gone. When a person dies, sure their body is gone, but their memory lives on. And this is the case with sid vicious. His memory lives on, and it will live on for many decades to come. R.I.P. Sid | |
