| I do not agree with ames on when he said nihilism and Christianity have similar governing properties. Because when it comes down to it christianity and nihilism are nothing a like. Nihilism believes there are no absolutes and no truth and no point. And as a Christian you should believe the point in life is Christ and that there is hope in Christ and there is Victory in Jesus. But this is an awsome song. | |

| Roeben: There is no point. Whether Christian or Nihilist Earth makes no sense, gives nothing to us, holds no truth nor sanctuary, both realize in an existentialist way that's it's all nothingness, vanity, and in this way are they similar. Indeed, the only difference between these two is Christ does indeed offer hope beyond life, but nihilism offers no hope beyond life. | |

| In an interview with Showbread- "Well… like Llama Eats Giraffe that song is about a nihilist who is contemplating other philosophies like Christianity and things like that. Looking at like what the two have in common because like nihilism and Christianity have similar governing properties… like nihilist believe that there’s no hope in the world and there is no point to anything and Christian believe the same thing but we have one hope. We believe there is no hope in the world and everything’s pointless and everything’s going to pass away but we do have that one thing. Nihilists don’t have that one thing. So this guy in the song is comparing the two things and it’s like these two bizarre animals that have so much in common but it’s constantly like one’s going to get the other and I just like llamas and giraffes so I figured it was a chance for me to use them in a song title." | |

| see, i don't believe that Christians find no hope in the world. true, our ultimate hope is in Christ, but Ecclesiastes talks about making the most of our life here. it's not pointless here. and Jesus talked about "storing up treasures in heaven." so it's not like God is playing some joke on us by making us stay on this earth after we're saved. this world has a point. we just don't know what it is. | |

| I agree with Ames, and I beg to differ Nancy. Ecclesiastes is saying everything you see in this world won't bring any hope, joy, or happiness and the best we can do is honor God and obey His commands and by doing that we find our purpose and hope in this world. It doesn't mean everything else is bad, but it's saying we can't find fulfillment in them. | |
