Song: Svefn-g-englar
Artist: Sigur Ros
Album: Agaetis Byrjun
Tuning: Standard

Tabbed by John Sweeney

This song is fantastic! Fortunately the music is easy…leaving time to work on those
Phenomenal vocals….!

The chord progression is :

E D C#m A

E|--0----2-----4------0--------------------------------------
B|--0----3-----5------2--------------------------------------
G|--1----2-----6------2--------------------------------------
D|--2----0-----6------2--------------------------------------
A|--2----0-----4------0--------------------------------------
E|--0----x-----0------0--------------------------------------

The little sorta submarine sound that’s played every now and again is just an E
note...best done on keyboard but guitar is fine obviously, (12th fret high E string)

Now this song has the cello bow playin’ the guitar thing happening...its nothing
to be afraid of though..just a lot of rosin and away you go...im fairly sure he just plays
the root note of each chord on
the high E string:

E|--12------10------8------5---------------------------------
B|-----------------------------------------------------------
G|-----------------------------------------------------------
D|-----------------------------------------------------------
A|-----------------------------------------------------------
E|-----------------------------------------------------------

so if ya know someone with a spare bow give it a try!

That’s pretty much it..like most Sigur Ros songs the vocals are the focus so give
them a go too!
