| This song is amazing. I read an interview with Daniel Johns and he said that this song is often mistaken to be a love song. Its not. Its about suicide and the 'falling' is when you finally take the plunge. The 'rope to my heart' is also a reference to hanging yourself. But in my opinion it should mean whatever you want it to mean to you. | |

| i really love the first verse, i don't know, but i think it might be about being suicidal after going through a break up. especillay withthe line "maybe i'm just deranged and on the rebound" | |

| Their best song imho... I always thought that this was the opposite of a love song a hate song maybe? The lyrics are very bitter and directed towards someone in particular. Funny i never saw the suicidal references before an simply thought the image Daniel was after was the idea of someone messing with his heart, puling his heartstrings or something... | |

| oh well. the last comment was made 1 or 2 weeks ago? it's a really old CD, but anyway... i think it's about being sucidal and falling in love. like all listeners, the lyrics of a song won't mean as much to you as Daniel Johns himself. | |
