I think Johnny Dazed hit the meaning with the "everyone thinks that a star's life is great and they don't go through 'normal' problems" and that's clearly not the case. I guess the "you" is the fan from Daniel's perspective and then the I would actually be the fan saying they'd love to be him. Awesome job Johnny!

This song is by far an awesome song. I love how Daniel can just make everything so much clearer to me. silverchair is my source of medicine, and they mean the world to me. I'm listening to "luv your life" right now, and it's just so groovie. GET BETTER, DANIEL JOHNS!

This song seems to be rather miserable, despite what most people get from the title. "...and I'll pay for sanity but sanity don't come cheap" means he'd give anything to be happy, to be normal, but he feels it's something he'll never have, or something he'll have to work harder than anyone else to have. "You don't know the truth/and I love your life," seems to me, that Johns is saying that he is jealous of people who never see the bad aspects of life, never notice the harsh truth of things, and he wishes he had their ignorance because it's better than living in the bitterness of reality, he's telling them to love their lives because they're better than his own.

i forget where i read it, it could have been on chairpage, but daniel had said he wrote this song about therapy and he was sitting talking to his psychologist thinking about how so many fans say the songs have helped them through shit and he thought that not everyone is as fortunate as he is to be able to afford a good psychologist. and that's where this song came from.. not a direct quote, but you get the idea.

lol i think it's sad that some people don't mature along with a band's music. i like this song a lot. i almost forgot how amazing daniel's voice is. this is definitely their best cd so far.

I just saw the video for this song. It's pretty cool, sorta like "yellow submarine" type animation, only with better graphics. I really enjoyed this song, and hippypippypunkska sounds like a troller to me. But then again, everyone's entitled to their opinion. I would have to agree on the whole with what's been said above. It isn't a typical love song...

Yeh this song is an awesome song....ppl confuse this song as a luv song. But i agree with WastedYouth but i think it talks bout how ppl have their own problems and how it affects them. In this way we all think that sumone elses life is better than ours- "..and u dont know the truth and i luv ur life...."

KELSO

Despite the cheesy title, this song has a very mature and jazzy feel. To me, this song has to do with jealousy of someone's life that you adore and wish you had. It may not be every aspect of this person's life you want- maybe just their freedom or how they carry themselves or even material things like their job status, house, cars, or whatever. This is a very uplifting song, though, and it's almost like you want this person's life that you are jealous of, but you admire them for it too and it inspires you to change.

It should say 'Luv your life' in the lyrics too...I think the reason it's spelt that way ties in with what Daniel was trying to say in 'Miss You Love'...That people use the word Love way too much and forget the true meaning of the word.
