| ok, i love this song... maybe i should stop using the word 'love'. it's kind of ironic, see the song's talking about being out of love while i'm raving about how i love the song. i think the lyrics are saying how his view on love changed. or he used to feel but now he can't because of depression maybe. hell, i don't know what i'm talking about. my head isn't working. but i think daniel was very honest in this song. it's kinda like he's saying, he's been using love, abusing it rather. while people around him thinks they know what love is all about, he wallows in lonliness and thinks that love doesn't exist anymore. but really, the meaning of love's evolved over time, into something quite unacceptable. and it's over used. I'd quote somthing from oscar wilde "love is not fashionable anymore. the poets have killed it. they wrote too much about it that nobody believed them."-- i just thought that somehow had a connection to the song. | |

| I think he's talking about how he misses love, but it's failed him and he doesn't want to open up but wants that feeling and doesn't know how to get it. But what do I know.... | |

| it's about not being able to love. i mean.. we all want to love so badly but when we think about it we cannot really define love is it? we want to be loved and we want to love but loving somebody else or loving love itself is so much harder than being loved by someone or love itself.. i always thought this song was about love itself.. it's such a beautiful but hard thing to understand. i can rely to this song a lot. daniel has written everything i always wanted to write in just one song. what i couldn't do in a thousand lyrics.. he's just done it in one song.. beautiful | |

| I agree with LAbaby, some time ago, I realised, that most of the Neon Ballroom songs can be seen as more or less directly referring to the Anorexia of Daniel. And apart from Ana`s song this is one of the most obvious. "remember today ive no respect for you, but i miss your love..." -he still feels like he needs, what the anorexia gave him, but herealised, that it costs him to much and that its not good. He still doesnt feel "normal" ("not too sure, how im supposed to feel") "Its gonna hurt, but I love the pain" etc.. he sees, that "its just a fad part of the teenage angst brigade" and still he somehow misses the feeling... Therefore i think its about the beginning of the healing process | |

| I've had an eating disorder for the past 4 years of my life... just the way that the lead singer of Silverchair has one... and I'm not sure why, but when I hear this song I think about my E.D... I love the way you love But I hate the way I'm supposed to love you back ... that is kind of how eating disordered people feel about their E.D. We love it, but hate it. Not too sure how it feels To handle everyday ... my eating disorder blocks out my feelings, so I don't have to deal with them. I don't know... I guess, that's just why I feel the way I do... | |
