| This song is not about Daniel Johns's girlfriend. It is about his obsession with death. It shows how depression weighs him down, and death is his way out somehow. He feels "like letting go" of life. | |

| 'Bleach the green from the pastures, feast on the grey' I believe this is Daniel talking about his obession with love and death and his love of death. Sometimes people become so involved in their Depression that is how they like themselves.Taking the green from life and feasting on the grey you have created. | |

| When I write, I can totally relate to all of the songs Daniel has written. He has such a deep interest in love and death, and that means a lot to me, because I love hearing his perspectives, thoughts, ideas, ways, etc. of love and death. Most of my poems/lyrics are about love and death, and when I read Daniels, they blow me away. i love you, daniel. | |

| i'm not sure exactly what this song is about, but i think the lyric "bleach the green from the pastures" is one of the most amazing lines ever, such incredible imagery. beautiful. | |

| To me this song is about being so miserable that no matter what you do you can't even make yourself be happy because your so in love with some one but they don't love you back. In the first verse i think he is saying that just when he started to be the slightest bit happy he thought about this one person that he couldn't have and it made him miserable again | |
