Shortly after, he realized "i made a mistake, wish i could take back everything that i did" but by the time he realized he made the mistake it was almost to late for the girl to forget about his mistake and love him again because she wasnt ready yet therefore he says he dosent realy care how long it takes (i would wait forever).....fyi i heard from shane himself after a concert that the title/chorus was named red light pledge because on a way to a band practice he put the song together on paper at stoplights.

	Okay...this is gonna sound really weird, but... The day my baby kitty Snowflake died, I was upset and listening to Silverstein (as I often do when I'm upset; their music calms me somewhat). Anyway, "Red Light Pledge" came on, and because of my sadness over Snowflake, the chorus caught my attention: "Promise me you will be there / until the red light will change... / I would wait forever... / Promise me you will stay here / until the darkness will fade... / I'd wait for you..." Those lines made me think of my baby Snowflake waiting for me in Heaven...and now whenever I hear the song, I think of him. RIP, Baby Booger.
