It reminds me of Romeo And Juliet. Especially the "drink the poison" and "stabbing yourself" and "tragic endings" thing. But I also just love the whole feel of the song...it could refer to something else enitrely; it could stand alone, even with the references.

Its about a girl that is a bit of a drama queen. One of those people that are only happy when everything is going wrong. So he's sick of trying to make her happy, so he's just being honest. " I'm stabbing through your bleeding heart. I will tell the truth but I can't help myself". "Verona lives inside of you" just is refering to how big she makes things seem, because romeo and juilet where both very over dramatic. Well that's at least what I think.

i totally get how u guys think it is about romeo and juliet--it basically has many parts dealing with it...they do that alot, like already dead reminds me of Macbeth in some ways, like the lyrics "you shook my hand and thought i was ur friend, i was planning your final struggle"..if uve read both R&J and Macbeth, u will realize it...its so weird that they do that...but at the same time, it is so kick a$s

Drink the poison, when you think it's over, (drink the poison) stabbing yourself, when you think it's too late. Tragic endings are your thing, you love them, (tragic endings) you love letting go, the endings the same. Drink the poison, when you think it's over, (drink the poison) inevitable, Verona lives inside of you. I love it. It's so tragic. I picture a whirling scen of a painful death. Im using while writing a scene iin my book. A guy and a girl are kissing and the a load of cops open fire.

"Drink the poison, when you think it's over, (drink the poison) stabbing yourself, when you think it's too late. Tragic endings are your thing, you love them, (tragic endings) you love letting go, the endings the same. Drink the poison, when you think it's over, (drink the poison) inevitable, Verona lives inside of you." I agree with everyone about the R&J refrence..but i think that he's using that as a metaphor about his relationship. I think the bigger picture of this song is he is dating this girl and she decides to end it and breaks up with him. hence the part "i wasnt asking for the world" And that he still has feelings for her "and you know that i'm not one to follow through. All these city streets the people look the same, and i can see your face, and i can hear your name. I wasn't asking for the world." This is what gets me.. he's using the R&J refrence to show that his x is being a bit of a drama queen "inevitable, Verona lives inside of you." But the rest of the song suggests that the girl dumped him but that one part counterdicts that... so idk.. thats what i think but i could be wrong

I like to consider this song my life's theme song. It's just so peppy of a song. Makes me want to get up and dance even though it's not exactly a happy song. Your stabbing in permanent scars, and you'll justify, it all inside yourself. You finish me, my pulse is gone, and you're satisfied to put this all to hell.

"Drink the poison when you think it's over" As has been pretty much established it's the R&J reference. The reference to Verona (IMO) could be because of the tragedy in Verona (R&J) it's as if Verona is 'inside' the person as in either tragic events and thoughts to themself.
