the first stanza is about how his love stabbed him in the back and betrayed him and he says that he will kill himself and maybe then she'll realize waht shes doen and she';; feel guilty the second is saying that if he didnt do it would she come back? if he could make himself trust her.. hed give her another chance the third stanza is saying that he doesnt want her back and that she lost her chance. hed rather die than to see her smile means that hed rather die then to see her happy with someone else. the swearing part is saying all the cruel things she did to him after she made him promise to be loyal to her she wasnt loyal back. the next part is saying that he is going to destry him self meaning kill himself because of what she's done to him i dont think this song is religious at all. it is clearly about a heeart break.

"I don't think God takes away from people." If you realized how people truly feel in this society, you'd know that many blame God for the negative aspects in life because they feel He has full control over everything. I'm not saying I agree with that, and I don't how Silverstein feel about religion. But either way, there are tons of ways to decipher what a song truly means...it's just up to the individual to make their own interpretation. Whatever makes them connect to the song.

Just read the lyrics, the song is definitely about something religious. Haha that comment was so stupid that I had to sign up for this site just to say that. You are retarded this song is clearly about a girl. Unless you think God is a backstabbing bitch this song isn't about him. "i'll slit my throat with the knife i pulled out of my spine" "if i can make myself believe, i'll give you back what you took away" I don't think God takes away from people. how can i ever stop you from crushing my soul? He doesn't crush souls Hey, go listen to Underoath or Zao because I heard their songs about girls. Get it because most are about GOD and they are Christian bands.

Silverstein have the same knack Senses Fail have, and that is being able to take overblown cliche lyrics and actually making it sound good. Great song, btw. I don't think there's much more to it than what is already being said, which is a heartbreak theme.
