| I believe this song was written by the drummer of the Psychedelic Furs. Anyone want to confirm this? | |

| Yeah, the Futurama episode was where I heard it, and then I found out here it was on "The Breakfast Club" soundtrack, which is where Fry hides the seven-leaved clover in that episode. What I'm trying to say is Futurama rules. | |

| Probably one of the best songs of the 1980's. It still hits home two decades after the fact. It always reminds me of Judd Nelson throwing his fist in the air as he walked toward the camera at the end of the film. Fade to darkness as this song revs up, talk about a classic finish. | |

| The character of Bender on Futurama was named after John Bender (a character from The Breakfast Club, a film which uses this song as it's theme song). In THe Simpsons (also by Futurama creater Matt Groening), Bart says "eat my shorts" another tribute to the character of JOhn Bender who tells the asshole principle to eat his shorts | |

| This song is about a guy who falls in love with a hooker he frequents. I guess she gave a mind blowing deepthroat, rim job, or something like that. But anyways he fell in love with this ho because it seems like he is treated special by her. Even though John thinks hes special, she does the specialily shit to every one of her upper class tricks. It’s a sad situation, but she won’t forget about you as long you keep paying. | |

| I first heard this song on the LIVE AID DVD. Simple Minds followed Queen and so had to work hard and they performed this song awesomely. I was greatly pleased to discover this song on a love album my parents have as I can now listen to it both live and as a recording. Brilliant. | |
