Champagne High (Intro)
Sister Hazel
From "Fortress"

I think this is pretty accurate, it sounds good at
least. There is another guitar part but it just
randomly plays a note every now and then, so you can
figure that out by listening to the cd. I also wrote
the rhythm on there, ^ means the upbeat.

This is an awesome song, even though it can be kinda depressing. It's sweet in a strange way though, because even though there's regret in the lyrics, there's hope for her future. Like starlight said, emotional.

hey, this is a sad song but it's made good cause the guy is happy for her, and he isn't too whiney like catherineks said. It's bittersweet.

this is how I see the song: he's at the wedding of an ex. He didn't want to marry her but he realizes that he still has feelings for her during the vows. the hesitation part is when he didn't say anything at the "speak now forever hold your peace" part of the ceremony.

I always thought the line was "our story's completed, but mine is a long way from done", which would say that they were done, but he was okay with it cause he knows he'll be okay. To conflict myself: The lines,"Well now he'll be your thing that's new Yeah what little I have you can borrow 'Cause I'm old and I'm blue... " Would relate to the old wedding practice of a bride having something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. I still like to think that he is just trying to drink her away, but remembering the good times instead of forgetting it all.

Ken has said before that this song is about how he attended the wedding of his highschool sweetheart. There is a song by Blue October called Congratulations which is also about going to the wedding of your ex. I think I like this better. (i have to i'm a hazelnut lol)

I always thought It was about someone dieing. Like how it says "Your storys compeleted but mine is a long way from done." I mean when someone dies their story ir life is over but, your still there and ur a ways away from dieing.
