| This Song to me pretty much like any skillet song is about God...like he is saying that it hurts when he is away from God but he thinks that the older he gets that he will get over his problems and trust God, and that it has been to long since he had trusted and or talked God PS- he being any person | |

| just like you guys, my first impression was a failed relationship. it isnt though, skillet singer said it was about his relationship with his father and coping with his broken family. but to me its all a matter of perspective. this song can mean a lot of things, different from what skillet intended. we always see things based on our experiences and what matters to us. so i guess if you think this is about a bad relationship, thats you. | |

| i like this song.. no comments? it should be listened to and commmented on! i'm not a big commenter.. a bit cliche i think. typically about some relationship and missing someone. i won't be too specific. use your imagination. but i love the music.. the melody.. it's uplifting. | |

| Yeah I'm actually a big fan of this song. Although i do not really know the meaning of it, and would very interested to know how other people take it... For me, it relates because i had strong feelings for some one and we were always fighting, and in this song it says... The walls between You and I Always pushing us apart nothing left but scars fight after fight. I kinda think this song is about wasting time being upset over a friend. and being stupid and not making up with them. after all time doesn't wait for any one. True? | |

| My favorite parts of this song: "I was sitting there waiting in my room for you You were waiting for me too" To me, it means that they both realize that there is a wall between them, that their relationship isn't the same anymore but neither one knows what to do, or maybe neither wants to be the first to apologize. "It started getting better but it's easy not to fight when I'm not with you" I think that means that they gave each other space, and that made it better, but it wasn't solved. It was easy not to fight when they don't even talk. | |

| the song is about the lead singer's relationship, often volatile, with his father. different song , same dance. he fought with him a lot when he was younger, but through the healing of time John's(lead singer) kids now have a grandfather. so, it's a nice apologetic, wish i knew then what i know now, type song. so all you guys/girls were right====failed relationship ;) peace | |

| i agree about how its all about perspective artists dont just write for themselves they right for the people who need to hear these songs to get them through to find a purpose relate to something or for whatever reason they have to me it make sme think fo when i really liked someone alot and then we stopped talking when we started talkign again it made me realize how happy i was with us talking and how much i wish that we could have spent that time we lost together or talking to eachother | |

| What does this mean then... "I was sitting there waiting in my room for you, you were waiting for me too." I guess it could mean that they were both stubborn and waiting for each other to appologize first. I loved this song before I found out it was about his relationship with his dad, and I love it even more now. I love it because it can be plugged into so many situations in relationships. You never think long term about small decisions you make, but sometimes being a man (or at least the better person) can not only save the pain from happening, but can make the other person better too. It just takes honesty and a little bit of a compromise of pride. | |

| i love this song!! the melody is what caught me the first time, but the second time it was the lyrics. it really makes me think of someone who was really close to me. we fought so much and now that he's not around anymore ive just been waiting for time to help me feel better. even though it doesnt hurt as much as it used to, this song brings back memories everytime. | |

| What strikes me about this song is that both the parent and the child seem to be at a loss for what to do...(I was sitting there waiting in my room for you, You were waiting for me too). That's the line that really reminds me of my dad and I for years, along wiht the first verse..even now we're still working on tearing down that wall between us. | |
