This is the first Skillet song I heard from a friend who really liked them. I was pretty much sold on first listen. Not only is it catchy, but the lyrics are awesome.

i think i know why they use the words "crimson roses". i think that it symbolizes Jesus' shed blood on the cross.

i have a friend that everyone calls mommy cuase she always is protecting us and helping us through hard times. This is one song that we all love to listen to tegether becuase the lyrics are really beautiful. it is basically about him having someone he really cares about and wanting to help them out. our "mommy" says this song is how she feels about all of us

One of the greatest songs I have heard in recent memory. Whaling guitars blended with the rest of this amazing songs will give you goose bumps. I can tell they worked wicked hard on this album, it is straight up unbelievable.

this song means to me that no matter what we do or where we go ,however wrong it may be(it's still wrong)that God will always love us and take us under his wing. This is tied for my favorite song ever with another song that means the same to me. Skilet is the band that will lead the revolution of christian bands that talk about god 24/7 and truly believe. I want to be like them. I like RK but they don't say right out how they feel about God. MAybe it is just because i can read into it but i think that if they talked like true christians(i am in no way saying that they aren't) then they wouldn't be where they are today. TV ,over 12 albums world famous. Now skillet on the other hand is saying how they feel right out. Now i am not proclaming to be a great christian or even good. I am not a model christian in ANY way. this is just what i think about skillet and especially this song. I like what elimy said about Jesus' blood. that makes perfect sense.

Well I love this song not big on the Christian rock thing but hte two latest CDs are not as freaky overly Christian as the old stuff. This song is my favourite it is so cool. Rock on! I am not sure what this song is about. Possibly that there is a girl that he loves and she is in pain and she just wants to help her but she won't let him. He just wants her to know he is there for her. Beautiful song.

Amazing song. I bought it just now and, 30 seconds into the song, I'm hooked. I love the parts where he sings: "My love is just waiting/To turn your tears to roses" and "My love is just waiting/To clothe you in crimson roses". Those are the best lines in this song. It makes me think of God and how He wants to restore us and makes us feel better because of his great love for us. It also makes me think of a guy's great love for a girl (or visa-versa). And, like, how he really loves her...but, she's hurting and he hates to see her hurting. So, he wants to help her. Great song.

i think this song means that when you are going thrugh a hard time, God will always love you and hold you, no matter what you've done in the past."despite the lies that your makin" and "i will be the one thats gonna hold you" and "when darkness comes, ill light the night with stars" i think means that when life just seems so oppressive, God will brighten your life with something that to most people seems like nothing special, but to you can lift you up.

Amazing song and lyrics. I see the God interpetation(most likely the right one) and the burning love from another person(boyfriend/girlfriend). My favorite line is "When Darkness Comes/I'll light the night with stars". Amazing performance, Skillet rocks this song.

This song is about god as they are Christians...and the chorus relates to John 8:12 in the bible I think..also I believe he says "know you'll never be alone when darkness comes you know im never far hear my whispers in the dark" but like most songs it could be your own interpretation thats why they are made

i love this song so much, it nearly made me cry when i first heard it.. as others have said i do believe it is about someone, whether it be a bf, gf, or God who really cares about this other person and wants to help them "Despite the lies that you're makin Your love is mine for the taking My love is just waiting To turn your tears to roses" i think this particular line is very important to the song and is saying that they know the one they care about is lying about being ok or fine or whatever (as lots of people do even when they arent) and they want to help, but cant till the other stops lying, but when they do stop lying, they'll be there to help take the hurt away with their love. very beautiful... p.s "When darkness comes I'll light the night with stars" my favourite line in the whole song happy listening :)

A very cool song. I think it's about a strong love for a person you want to save from despair and loneliness. Kinda like what I'd like to do for my ex-girlfriend who's going through this the same way as I am after we broke up. I like the part "My love is just waiting, to turn your tears to roses,"
