Okay, have fun!! Grtz Karin.

Am G F
Lost in time I can't count the words
Am G F
I said when I thought they went unheard
Am G F
All of those harsh thoughts so unkind
Am G F
Cause I wanted you

Am G F
And now I sit here I'm all alone
Am G F
So here sits a bloody mess, tears fly home
Am G F
A circle of angels, deep in war
Am G F
Cause I wanted you

Am G F
Weak as I am, no tears for you
Am G F
Weak as I am, no tears for you
Am G F
Deep as I am, i'm no one's fool
Am G F
Weak as I am

Am G F
So what am I now I'm love's last home
Am G F
I'm all of those soft words I once owned
Am G F
If I opened my heart there'd be no space for air
Am G F
Cause I wanted you

Em F
In this tainted soul
Am
In this weak young heart
G
Am I too much for you?
Em F
In this tainted soul
Am
In this weak young heart
G
Am I too much for you?

Am G F
Weak as I am……………
Am G F
Weak as I am……………
Am G F
Weak as I am…………… etc.

I always thought this was an open letter to a christian-type god (an ideal). Sort of being disappointed at the sickness and evils of the world. Even if I'm totally wrong, you have admit the song is about that sort of level of frustration.

I usually think of this song as anger after having been broken up with. Complementing the feeling of rejection with the outright offense and sarcastic disbelief that the breaking party is a little pile of moldy shit one could not take seriously again. I do really like the religious interpretation above though. It works for me. Thanks.
