| I think that by "closer to the sun" he means that he is beginning to understand himself better through all his travels, as sun represents your consciouse awareness of your self. I do not understand the "stealing from the rich and then give it to the poor" ... Anyone know? | |

| first off let my start by saying, theres only one, its slightly stoopid. No joke theyre the best band ever. All their songs are so beautiful, so real, so chill. i deff agree with wat collie man said. If ppl would stop listenin to fukkin fergie and glamorous shit and listen to this mabe the world might be a better place. As for the song tho, im pretty sure when they say closer to the sun, it means kinda wat kanga said, searchin for hapiness, your true friends, and the journey to become a more chill and accepting person. I think the moon represents assholes, bitches, working america, where shit sux. But the sun is jus chill ppl, and a great enviornment to live in. other opinions would be appreciated. | |

| slightly stoopid is so fuckin underrated. they absolutely kick ass... this is definately one of their best... its just mellow and flows perfectly throughout the entire song. What's the meaning? i think tb24 is right, its about someone moving on. They're moving closer to the sun(maybe closer to their death, heaven) He thinks she's beautiful, but he doesn't have enough to get the girl. so he moves on to the next town-"If I was to stay it wasn't for too long People sing the same song everywhere I'm going" I think the fact that they repeat the entire first stanza over again says a lot about the meaning. It's a cycle that just begins, ends, and starts over again until he eventually REACHES the sun. | |

| The line Should be "I rob and steal it from the rich you know I give it to the poor." | |
