| I think its how corey hates his father for leaving him. But as a kid he used to think it would be great to meet his father and how much he'd love him. He thought of all the great things he would do for him but the corey realized his father is just a bastard and will never do anything for him | |

| I think the songs meaning could be ablut loosing a father. takeing the dust of his father is taking the ashes. and anchints would be somones elders. and then by doing this hopefully he can find peace by maybe saying goodbye, or even just spreading the ashes. they may have been the leader for a long time but everytime they think of there father it hurts them and twist them to death, and they keep trying to lead everyone. when all he wanted was the dreams he had befor they were the times he had befor his father died. and then he feels like he needs that person in his life now more than ever. and all the times hes done something wrong hes allways been wondering why hes been doing it. and hes just waiting for himself to end up like his father. he knows that he fails because hes impatent. and he knows that his dad is somewhere safe quite possibly with god i just wrote that down cuz honestly thats what ive been going through. | |

| I have two theories of this song: One is that Corey is talking about reincarnation as a whole and reincarnation being a cycle... Which in turn in a circle and my other links in with the first one that Corey hates being old and either himself or the person he is speaking in first person with is not doing very well in life, doesn't like who he is so that person wants to die so he/she can be born again and start a clean slate - Reincarnation - Cycle - Circle. Fucking kick ass song though... One of my favourite on the album! | |

| this is quite possible one of the best slipknot songs eva. ive been a big fan of slipknot ever since their s/t album. this song means life will never change. it will be the same routine until the apocolypse. you're born, you live, you spread your seed, you die. i read that somewhere. it makes sense i suppose. corey has excellent vocals for this song. the samples are perfect, and shawn does excellent power percussion in the little breakdown. | |
