Lyrics:

Bones in the water and dust in my lungs
Absorbing archaic like a sponge
The ultimate way is the way you control
But can you stay if you detach your soul?
Bury the present and squeeze out the past
The ones you endear to never last
Chemical burns and the animalistic
I'm just another hardline pseudo-statistic

Can you feel this?
I'm dying to feel this
Can you feel this?

Blood on the paper and skin on my teeth
Trying to commit on what's beneath
To find the time is to lose the momentum
You learn the lessons and immediately forget them
Automatic and out of my reach
Consult all the waste to find the key
Minimal life and the polysyllabic
I'm just another blank page - push the button, pull the rage

Can you feel this?
I'm dying to feel this
Can you feel this?

I am all, but what am I?
Another number that isn't equal to any of you
I control, but I comply
Pick me apart, then pick up the pieces
I'm uneven

I am the damaged one
All my life and the damage done

Can you feel this?
I'm dying to feel this
Can you feel this?
I'm dying to feel this

I am all, but what am I?
Another number that isn't equal to any of you
I control, but I comply
Pick me apart, then pick up the pieces
I'm uneven

as said before....the transistion from prelude to blister exists is amazing. theres a lot of that in this album. i love cds that do that. korn does that a lot too and its really good. u kinda have to listen to prelude before blister........ it just seems like u have to. i like it when bands make a cd not just of songs but of songs that flow perfect together right off each other so u never want to turn off the cd. some bands put all their talent into only a few songs while bands like slipknot and korn (my fav band) put so much effort into the entire cd to make the whole thing "work as a whole." i kinda went on a long rant there. but whatever

this is Song is a lot like heretic anthem , is about Doing the Oposite Of what people want u to do, or expect u to do, And they did, people expected the new album to heavier than ever, but it wanst, it was the Slowest and More lyrical Album yet :) "another number that isnt equal to any of you" , isnt that like " if ur 555, im 666" ?

This song is awesome on the CD but 1000 times better when you see them live, especially the two drum solos, they are CRAZY

Yeah, I agree nrok. I especially like how some of the songs flow seamlessly into the next one (Vermilion > Pulse of the Maggots, The Virus of Life > Danger - Keep Away. That's good production right there.

Ooooooooooo, I love this song! Didn’t pay much interest until I watched a video of them playing it live at the London Astoria, then it was an instant favorite. The guitars are kickass in this song!! There are lots of random screaming and a cool drum solo between the three percussionists. It is about everyone being the same as the next person. The one speaking seems to be complaining about how you have to be just like everyone else to fit in, and that he isn’t like that. He says it in several ways. “I'm just another hard-line pseudo-statistic” which implies that he is a fake, not really another one of the crowd, as others view him to be. Several phrases (”I am all, but what am I? / Another number that isn't equal to any of you”, “I am the damaged one / All my life and the damage done“ and “I’m uneven!”) say that he isn’t right, and he's different. The song is about being imperfect. The name probably comes from the ideas that there is always a defect in the overall plan and that the blister ALWAYS exists.

It goes summat like this: Why was hope lost? It doesnt seem to be anyone's fault, but someone is living in the past and ignoring the present. Corey screams the chorus like his angry and that someone wont understand or see summat his way. "I am all but what am i? Sung with great emotion! Great song!
