Title: Carve
Artist: Slipknot
Album: Unreleased

Instrument: 6 String Guitar

Tuning: Open C (C G C F A D)

A very rare, but very good track. It's a shame more people haven't heard
it...

A guy says "They're doing something rather curious with the parts of the
body, in a way we don't fully understand" on the 5th time first guitar
starts off, heavy distortion and high bass

Intro
D|--------------------|------------------------||
A|--------------------|------------------------||
F|--------------------|------------------------||
C|--------------------|------------------------||
G|-3-333-333-333-0-2--|--0--3-333-333-333-0-2--||
C|-3-333-333-333-0-2--|--0--3-333-333-333-0-2--||

On 5th time of this riff, 2nd guitar comes in doing pick scrapes, bends and
vibrato, definately with some sort of effect, not sure what, the first
guitar keeps going, but on 5th time changes:

First guitar:
D|-----------------|---------------||
A|-----------------|---------------||
F|-----------------|---------------||
C|-----------------|---------------||
G|-33-3-3-0-22-2-0-|-33-3-3-0-22-2-||

Recorded in 1997 for the unreleased slipknot album "Crowz" that was ment to be released after MFKR but slipknot wrote self titled insted, with pretty much the same track listings as S/T but with carve, may 17th, window and coleslaw instead and it is corey singing

whoah....sounds alot different than most of their songs...also, if that is Corey Taylor on vocals, he sounds alot different at the beginning...maybe it's the distortion

Ive listened to this song alot. I like it. I have no clue what the song meaning is. But I think there is an error in these lyrics. I dont think it says "Your pain I see"...if you listen it sounds like "Releasing all the pain I see" I dont know. Thats what I hear.

I don't like the voices at the start "They're doing something rather curious with the parts of the body..." Over and over again But the rest of the song is cool =] I like songs of Crowz and MFKR - they're some of the better SlipKnoT songs in my opinion. I prefer songs off this album to the ones of Volume 3, that has been my least favourite album by SlipKnoT so far. The voices at the beginning sounds like something off one of those movies where someone is trying to imitate an English accent, and they come across sounding like a posh noob. I'm from Manchester in England and I don't sound like a posh up-my-own-arse noob! I also don't walk around wearing a top hat and suit and smoking a pipe!

this song eventually became Before I forget, I guess, like JoeBeeZee said. if you listen to them both, you'll notice the similarities, not necessarily in the lyrics or meaning, but the music. Crowz is actually a pretty cool album, wonder why they never realeased, has their best old stuff before their self-titled album, imo I actually like this song, and I don't usually like much of their old stuff, not because of anders or anything, it's just... meh.
