Drop D, Detuned 1/2 Step
Db Ab Db Gb Bb Eb

h - hammer on
p - pull off
b - bend

This song is almost 11 minutes long, but the whole
thing only has three guitar riffs. I'm not sure if
the tuning is right or not. The rest of
Mate, Feed, Kill, Repeat (the songs I've tabbed anyway,
are only detuned 1/2 step, instead of 1 1/2.

Killers Are Quiet, is about a "Pale One", which is a Garou that has been "embraced" by the Kindred. It is the origin of the song Iowa.

Like the song "slipknot" this song is about the roleplaying game Werewolf: The Apocalypse For those who are familiar with the game.. it seems to hint at an embraced werewolf. A so called abomination. My guess anyway.

All the songs from Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat slipknot's first album are in reference to Werewolf the Apocalypse (A pen and paper roleplaying game, such as Dungeons and Dragons) This song refers to a Garou(Werewolf) from the tribe known as the Get of Fenris "...of Get I was born". (Abomination, or Pale One; a werewolf /vampire hybrid) "filling the shadows with shapes of my own implies this garou was embraced(turned into a vampire) by a lasombra

Yes, this is the original to the song entitled "Iowa". It's basically based on the more well-known song, "Iowa".. although this one came first, it's rarer.. so hence the fact that people have heard "Iowa" more. I personally like the lyrics to "Killers are Quiet" over "Iowa". Anyway, so this is a bit different from "Iowa".. cause "Iowa" is about someone who keeps women and re-creates them to what he wants.. not a great way of explaining it, but it works. That's "Iowa".. "Killers are Quiet" must be fairly similar.

"Killers Are Quiet, is about a "Pale One", which is a Garou that has been "embraced" by the Kindred." --"Cycle of life and death supposedly goes 'round and 'round yet it stops with me" the cycle of life is supposed to end with death, hince, goes round and round yet it stops with me (vampires are immortal, cant die) --"Killers are quiet like the breath of the wind"--vampires are said to be capable of coming up on you without notice --"Abomination, world in dissaray"--vampires are 'abominations' and cause the death in the world.. hince what causes 'dissaray' this song is definitely about vampires lol
