	This is about a relationship that is about to end and he knows it. The best line is "it feels like I am infected by my dad's disease". It shows that alot of times people grow up to be their parents and if they divorce, then the kids have a better chance to divorce.

	i read somewhere that in the song when he says i do it for the drugs its a metaphor or symbolic he means things that make people carry on drugs,alcohol,women,music anything and for him its music i guess what its symbolic of is things that numb you

	I remember reading something where the lead singer guy said that he was sick of potheads coming up to him and saying "yea, i do it for the drugs too!" because the song was not about drugs... I'm pretty sute that wiredmonkiekiller is right about the song's meaning.

	I think this song is about someone who fears confrontation so much so that he'd rather erase the person from his life altogether. (I'm hiding from the battles I don't want to fight) The thought of his dad's disease being broken relationships is an excellent idea that had never occured to me before browsing this page.

	I agree with manyamore. I think he realizes the relationship is about to end and hes not sure he will have the strength to erace her but he wants to so he tells himself he will. He feels sometimes that he cant go on wihtout her but then he hates the fighting and everything that goes on. I can relate to this i have a boyfriend who i really love and i dont want to leave him but i feel myself needing to. He has major anger issues and we argue everyday well night i should say. The days are good we have a great time then night comes and we end up arguing no matter what. Its hard to get him out of my life becuase were still in schoola dn hes in classes iwht me and i dopnt think i have the strenth to "erace" him but i know if i want to be happy i need to.
