For anyone interested, I read somewhere that the extra lyrics to
the Brixton concert go something like:
On the shop floor
there's a calender
as obvious as snow
...as if we didn't know

| could it be as boss man said? an expression of male sexual insecurity relating to penis size. a significant problem that has always existed even with an established lover and a crate of ale as a loosener. "send me the pillow you dream on" is morrissey asking if it matters or asking for reassurance. as for mothers, something has to rhyme with others. that of course, could be complete bollox especially if you're not a bloke. | |

| It's a rather funny song, when you simply look at the lyrics. This song is a great example of the meaning and emotional weight music carries...that guitar part is so wonderfully moody, particularily the intro. Well done, Marr. | |

| It's referring specifically to women's breast sizes. The last lines are from the song "Send Me The Pillow That You Dream On", the Cleopatra scene was most likely inspired by "Carry On Cleo". | |

| Ah Aurora I'm one of those silly people who thinksthat the lyrics are far too silly to go with that beautiful music... I dunno how beautiful these Morrissey lyrics can be said to be when the only genuinely poetic lines "Send me the pillow..." are nicked from another song!! I think it simply about (as Morrissey declared it to be) noticing just how differently built women are as a whole - a point that is intelligent and certainly original. however much as I can accept that the words are somewhat intelligent they still make a mockery of Marr's beautiful etheral music which seemed to ask for something more emotional I think But then I was one of the few who thinks Girlfriend in a Coma was also a absolute stinker, lyric wise so my opinion is prob not popular!!! | |

| I think just the way Morrissey sings this song on the record is so tender. He makes the lyrics mean so much more than they seem to at first glance. It's almost like a love song to women as a whole. Some stupid people think the lyrics are too silly to go with Marr's music. These people have no soul. | |

| I think most everyone hear has been interpreting the lyrics to literally. The some girls are bigger than others really means some girls are bigger emotionally or tolerance. Like being able to withstand being away from there lover for an extended period of time. The line "There is but one concern" probabaly means he is concerned that some girls arent well big enough. I love this song though especially the guitar at the end but one thing that annoys me is how the song briefly fades at the beginning. | |

| To me it always meant that some women are fatter than others. It's an obvious thing, but it's a delicate subject that people don't like to talk about. Morrissey is throwing it out from an innocent viewpoint, as a child who just discovered this fact. It's like the kid who's in the supermarket and points and says, "Look, mom, she's fat!" How indecorous. But innocent. Sure, men can be fat too. But being a boy in the song, he's taken that for granted. It's more taboo to talk about women's sizes and so it's the realization of the different sizes of women, which everyone wants to hide, that the little Morrissey boy feels he needs to point out, since nobody seems to notice! | |

| It could be my dirty mind but I always considered this as a backlash against the obsession with penis size. The wiser of you may know where I'm heading...that's right, down south! From the ice-age to the dole-age There is but one concern I have just discovered Why has he just discovered that some girls are bigger than others! Surely it is obvious to a five year old that some women have bigger tits than others. No, I think this song is about female genitalia (nice way of putting it) and if I find out that it's about boobs I'm going to be really disappointed. | |
