	It seems to me that the song is about life, and mostly how screwed up it is. "Just another guest on Death's best show" Meaning were all here just to Live, kill, and die. I Dont think the phrase "In The box" is metaphorical at all infact. I think the songs just comparing life and childhood to SOLITARY CONFINMENT. Which in prison is referred to as "Doin' Time In The Box" And I'm not usually "Spiteful". But I do rather enjoy It, So, BIg Ben, Your a fucking moron. This site is for people to post their personal views on a song, Not for them to post something, then have you say something Irrelevant, Ignorant, Indescriptive, and Undecisive. So next time you have a thought... Just let it go.

	I think it's obvious that this some is about being in prison or something, and how he used to be so innocent and he's blaming society for corrupting him or something....

	Read the lyrics and listen carefully. View the first stanza. People are raised as children around the gun/hatred. When you think of the box, you think of the obvious answer, someone trapped somewhere. What you can also think of is the box can represent a television. Oddly enough, Lynn thought above the natural, but sometimes the most obvious answer isn't the one seen. I believe the song is basically talking about a child raised around TV surrounded by the hatred and vice seen on it, then growing up in life viewing it. Note songs such as Stoopid and Deadfall talking of hatred / growing up.
