I wouldn't call Spitting Games upbeat, but I agree with simsfreg: it could be straight out of a movie. I picture this guy running through the rain - they're from NI after all and it rains here pretty much all the time - in some city somewhere, through little laneways, leaping over garden fences and all that kind of romantic crap. He turns up on her doorstep to apologise, he doesn't have an explanation and neither does she. But like a few of their other songs, he doesn't want the relationship to end and chances are, it won't. Optimistic and sort of desperate at the same time. I don't know anyone who doesn't like this song. Except the goths in my class but they don't like anything.

seems like another simple tense relationship song, about a couple seeming about to break up.

reminds me of feeling vulnerable and insecure, crying inconsolably about stupid things for stupid reasons into the shoulder of a man who tries to console but feels confused and inadequate, wanting to make it better but not knowing how.

it's becayse all words are dust! couldn't be more spot on. you know when you just want to say something but know it makes no sense to the other person but it means everything to you.
