| Acoustic angel...ugh. Final Straw was a nigh-on perfect album and Eyes Open rivalled in some fashion which is a feat in itself. This song is a step further than Chasing Cars which is the final straw (oops) and is one step too far. Far too poppy, lyrically subpar and just quite sickening if you're a SP fan. | |

| Basically, ieatworld, the rage and everything is because the meaning of the song is SO blatant there's no reason to discuss it - "You are my signal fire" - he's done something wrong, probably to her, but even still she guides him - simple as. There is none of the complexity or beauty of Grazed Knees or Run, none of the ambiguity of Headlights and none of the hard-hitting amazement of You Could Be Happy. The lyrics are BAD. | |

| A great song, though not one of the the best. I think the "In fact, your arms still drag me out (???)"/"Without your arms to drag me out" line is "but that your arms still drag me out". I agree with the rest of the revised lyrics. | |

| I'm going to do what we are supposed to be doing here....talking abot the song. For me its about loving someone, someones that guides you to where you want to go, but at the same time that person is holding you back and you just want to move foward with that person together....comment on the songs not if a band sounds or not the same as aways!!! | |

| This is a awsome song. Tough many songs from final straw, eyes open and songs for the polarbears are better. this still stands out as what snow patrol can do if they are asked to write a song for a movie and it goes so well with the movie | |

| This is not Snow Patrol's worst song. I actually really like it. Although I do agree Eyes Open and Final Straw's songs are all much better it is still pretty good. This song is basically marketed towards Spiderman 3, so it's not their usual amazing music. | |

| You're wrong! You're all bloody wrong! I am a MASSIVE Snow Patrol fan, and agree would like to say a few things on this. 1. NEVER, EVER, call them "The Patrol" 2. This song is supposed to be for a MOVIE. It is about love etc. (the song), and any band asked to write a song like this for a movie, whether it be Snow Patrol or the Beatles, if they were all alive, would have come up with something similar. I agree, it's NOT one of their BEST songs, but it has a BRILLIANT mobie soundtrack quality to it, and for that reason I simply love it. It does NOT sound like a cross between "Headlights" and "The Finish Line", in fact NOTHING like any of Snow Patrol's other songs. It is totally unique to this kind of genre, and for that it should be respected. 3. The lyrics ARE "No I won't wait forever" not anything else. 4. The true meaning of the song? Well, obviously love, and all that, but to me it means more. As Celebrindal said, it also reminds me of myself and my best friend, who lives all the way in the USA (I live in the Netherlands), and when we parted. 5. Snow Patrol have launched a competition for a music video to this. Anyone think they can beat Spiderman, have a look at their website. Thank you for reading all that.
